Feed a Need

Stephen Curry is a professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the NBA. He is the greatest shooter in NBA history. Curry had won The NBA most valuable player and led his team to their first championship since 1975. Stephen Curry saw a need in the world, and used his gift to help the need. He has been dedicated to helping families fight malaria, so he pledged to send three bed nets for every three-point shot he makes throughout the season. During his first three seasons doing the “Nothing But Nets” challenge, he had donated 2,457 nets to help thousands of people avoid the deadly infection. When he was interviewed he had said, “The Nothing But Nets campaign is an outstanding organization working to help a cause near and dear to my heart.I am honored to be in a position to help raise awareness for the campaign and provide nets to protect families from malaria for the fourth season in a row”. Curry saw a need and had to do something about it, so he used his amazing talent and big heart . Curry is also challenging his fans to join and help him to end so many deaths from this crucial disease of donating $10 to send a bed net and save a life.  This inspires so many people including me, to change the world and help every way people can, even a little thing can make a differencenet.

  1. I’m curious, what are net beds? I see from the picture the visual, but what does it do? I think it’s a genius idea of his to not only help the people but also challenge himself in the process. It’s definitely an interesting way to bring awareness to malaria.

  2. I really like how you incorporated a famous athlete to show that anyone can help. This is a great idea and make me want to help too. This could definitely be an inspiration to everyone and could really help the cause.
